To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what steps police forces take to monitor and analyse the ethnic origin of complaints regarding police behaviour; what is the practice of the Police Complaints Authority in this respect and whether the results of these excercises are made public.

Information about the practices of individual police forces in this regard is not held centrally. The Police Complaints Authority does not itself routinely receive complainants or interview complaints and does not therefore collect statistics of this kind.
