To ask the Secretary of State for Employment if he will hold early discussions with interested parties involved in the business in the community liaison framework with private industry, on further measures to promote employment among young adults from disadvantaged areas.

All of this Department's employment and training measures are available to young adults from disadvantaged areas, including the enterprise allowance scheme. Further details of the new training scheme for unemployed adults will be given in a White Paper shortly. I am in frequent contact with business in the community.
