To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will report progress on the conversion of supplementary benefit cases to income support at his Department's offices in Hackney, Stoke Newington, Shoreditch, Hoxton and Finsbury; what percentage of cases have to date been converted; what is his Department's estimate of the percentage of cases at each office that will be converted by 11 April; and when his Department's staff in each office expect to have finished the conversion exercise.

We plan to complete the conversion of supplementary benefit cases to income support by 11 April in all the offices mentioned although we recognise that there is stil a great deal to be clone. The percentage of cases converted by 26 January (the latest information available) in each of these offices was:

Hackney ILO26
Stoke Newington ILO38
Shoreditch AO18
Hoxton ILO39
Finsbury Park ILO16
Additional staff are working at Shoreditch AO and Finsbury Park ILO to assist them with conversion of cases.
