To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many cases have been reported of the molestation of soldiers and horses on duty outside palaces and other public buildings; what steps he is taking to prevent this; and if he will make a statement.

There have been no complaints recorded of cases of molestation of soldiers or horses whilst on duty outside palaces or public buildings. If such an occurrence were to take place, adequate arrangements exist to enable the sentry to summon assistance.
