To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what is the status of the United Kingdom's diplomatic representation in Fiji.

With effect from yesterday, we have been represented in the Republic of Fiji by Her Majesty's ambassador. Until that date, his title was high commissioner, the customary title for heads of mission in Commonwealth countries. The change of title does not affect diplomatic status.
