To ask the Secretary of State for Wales whether, since 1979, his Department has instigated any studies into regional government, and regional departments of central Government, in other European Community member states, with a view to formulating proposals for improvements in the structure and administration of the work of his Department; whether he has any plans to instigate any such studies in the near future; and if he will make a statement.
