To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services if he will call for a report from the chairman of Coventry district health authority about the financial arrangements, including rental payments, entered into with Coventry Church housing association in advance of the formal Secretary of State's decision on the closure proposals affecting Whitley hospital in Coventry, South-East.

[holding answer 3 March 1988]: All aspects of Coventry health authority's proposal for the future patterns of health services in the district are currently being examined by Ministers, as part of a reference on the closure of Whitley hospital and other service changes.
