To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster what recent representations he has received from heavy industry on competition policy issues and consumer protection matters; and if he will make a statement.

The Department is in regular contact with both individual firms and representative groups from all sides of industry, including heavy industry; in the course of these contacts, industry's views on a range of matters, including competition policy and consumer protection are discussed.
