To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster if he has any plans to expand the number of inner city task forces.

Not at the moment. The eight new task forces are establishing themselves very well but 1 see no reason to expand the numbers further. I wish to retain the close contact between Ministers and task forces, the informality, short lines of command and ability to innovate and experiment which have been the main advantages of the task force initiative so far.
