To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list by specialty the numbers of people presently awaiting operations within Fife health board's area.

Information is not collected in precisely the form requested. The number of persons waiting for in-patient hospital treatment (including operations) in each specialty is published in table 6.5 of "Scottish Health Service Statistics 1986/87", copies of which are held in the Library.
