To ask the Secretary of State for Defence why he did not attend the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation Ministers and Heads of State meeting in Belgium on 2–3 March.

In accordance with the normal practice for such meetings the United Kingdom was represented at the meeting of the North Atlantic Council on 2–3 March by my right hon. Friends the Prime Minister and the Foreign and Commonwealth Secretary.
