Rate Precepts

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will provide a list of the rate precepts in the shire counties for 1988–89; and if he will indicate how much is given to each county under each council's

rapidly following the Budget. It has already increased to 800 and by the end of 1988 there are expected to be over 2,000.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will publish in the Official Report the names and professional designations of the members of the Unleaded Petrol Group, indicating which interest groups they represent respectively.

I chair the group. The non-governmental organisations represented, with one name for each, are:spending programme for the year expressed as an amount per person in each county; how much would be given to each county as an amount per person if the councils spent at their GRE assessment levels; and if he will make a statement.
