To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what part was played by the Association for the Conservation of Energy in drawing up the list of approved materials for the home insulation grant scheme;(2) what representations were made to his Department to include products of the Superglass Insulation Company of Clydebank and Stirling in the list of approved materials for the home insulations grant scheme;(3) if any products of the Superglass Insulation Company in Clydebank and Stirling are included in the list of approved materials for the home insulation grant scheme;(4) if the Scottish Development Agency made representations to his Department regarding the inclusion of Superglass insulation board in the list of approved materials for the home insulation grants scheme.

Superglass Insulation Ltd. have only sought the inclusion of one product in the schedule of approved materials under the homes insulation scheme, but as this did not achieve BSI registration until 1 January 1988, it could not be included in the new scheme made by Ministers in mid-December. No representations were received from the Scottish Development Agency, or anyone else, about including this company's products in the current list. The Association for the Conservation of Energy plays no part in drawing up the schedule.
