To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what representations he has received seeking regulations to prevent pet shops selling contaminated peanuts for human consumption, particularly by children.

I have received two representations on this subject.As I said in my reply to my hon. Friend the Member for Warrington, South (Mr. Butler) on 17 February, at column

677, it should be self-evident to the public that feed sold in pet shops was not intended for human consumption.
