To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will give for the year 1987–88 the sales of land and buildings by Department as in the form of his answer of 27 January 1987, Official Report, column 229, giving the gross figure for purchases of land and buildings for 1987–88.
The table shows sales and purchases of land and buildings by department for 1987–88. The figures include sales and purchases by local authorities and new towns as well as central government and are consistent with the figures published in the 1988 public expenditure White Paper, Cm. 288.
