To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what strengthening arrangements have been made to the partitioning separating officials from the public in his Department's offices in Law Russell house, Vicar lane, Bradford, and Leeds road, Bradford; and if he will make a statement.

In December 1987, a claimant climbed over a protective interview screen at Law Russell house after damaging the surrounding framework. Contractors are currently strengthening the partition supports. At Leeds road office, two existing private interview rooms are being fitted with protective screens and counters.
