To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what estimate he has of how many jobs outside Harland and Wolff are directly related to the activities of the company (a) in Northern Ireland and (b) in Great Britain.

Based on a number of recent studies the number of jobs in Northern Ireland directly related to the activities of Harland and Wolff is about 500. There are insufficient statistical data available to provide an accurate assessment of the numbers in Great Britain.
