To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will give details of the medical consequences of the radioactive fallout in Northern Ireland (a) as anticipated following the fire in No. 1 Pile at Windscale in October 1957 and (b) by today's standards.

No medical consequences were anticipated in 1957 nor have the Government any evidence to suggest that the health of people in Northern Ireland has been adversely affected by this incident.
