To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what consultations were held between his Ministry and timber and land-owning interests concerning the proposed new grant arrangements for forestry; and if he will make a statement.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply I gave earlier today to the hon. Member for Caerphilly (Mr. Davies).

To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he proposes to revise his estimate of annual new planting of trees in England and Wales; and if he will make a statement.
