To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services what response he has made on the representations from the hon. Member for Woolwich dated 19 February about the decision of Greenwich council to raise rents for its frail elderly tenants in sheltered housing schemes.

My office wrote to the hon. Member on 7 March explaining that the correspondence was forwarded to the Department of the Environment as the matters raised are the responsibility of that Department.
