To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what specific measures will be proposed by Her Majesty's Government in the light of the adoption by consensus of United Nations General Assembly resolution A/42/L/49 regarding a special plan of economic co-operation for Central America; and if he will make a statement.

As foreseen in the economic communique issued following the San José IV meeting in Hamburg, we shall be discussing with our European partners ways in which the substantial EC aid to the region can be co-ordinated with the objectives of the plan, and with the action of other countries and international organisations 0which are taking part in this effort. The Community's participation in various specific measures under the plan will be agreed jointly with the countries of the central American isthmus.
