To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proposals he has to improve current arrangements for diplomatic representation in Laos; and if he will describe the present arrangements.

I refer the hon. Member to the reply that my hon. Friend the Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State the hon. Member for Enfield, North (Mr. Eggar) gave to the hon. Member for Sunderland, South (Mr. Mullin) on 24 March. Present arrangements work well and we have no plans at present to amend them.
