To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will make a statement on housing standards in the rural areas of Wales.

The 1986 Welsh house condition survey shows that there have been significant improvements in the condition of Welsh housing. It does also highlight the problem areas. We will use the survey results to direct resources where they are most needed.
