To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment when he expects the Greater Manchester residuary body to be wound up and the assets and liabilities transferred to the metropolitan boroughs.

I expect the Greater Manchester residuary body to be wound up well within the five-year period allotted for the completion of its task.
