Mr. Malcolm Bruce
To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what steps he intends to take to ensure that assessing agents on the employment training programme are aware of any particular needs of people with disabilities.
Mr. Patrick Nicholls
Training agents will be expected to demonstrate that they are able to deliver a full range of assessment and occuptional guidance services completely and professionally. This will include arrangements for participants who have special needs, including disabilities. In addition, the facilities of the employment rehabilitation service will be available to training agents to offer specialist or extended assessment to appropriate participants where the need is identified.
