Single Payments

To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services how much was paid out in single payments to social security applicants in Lambeth in the financial year ended 31 March; and how much has been allocated under the social fund for the current year.

The London borough of Lambeth is served by 10 local social security offices. The boundaries of these offices are not conterminous with those of the borough. Figures for single payment expenditure for the period 8 April 1987 to 10 April 1988 are given in the table. The figures are provisional and subject to amendment.
