To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what progress is being made with the review of activities at the Royal Army Veterinary Corps, Melton Mowbray.

The review to which my hon. Friend refers concerns the possible formation of a joint service dog school; there are currently two dog schools which are located at Melton Mowbray and RAF Newton. The review, which will also take account of the costs of the Army's equine functions at Melton Mowbray, should be completed in the summer.
