To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will give a table of all cod catch records for all vessels in the Lowestoft fleet for each of the last five years.

[holding answer 12 May 1988]: Landings of cod by the Lowestoft fleet are not readily available for the previous five-year period, due in part to changes in the fleet over this period and landings by under 40 ft vessels not being individually recorded prior to 1985. Landings of cod into Lowestoft by British vessels for the previous five years together with landings by the Lowestoft fleet during 1987 are however available.
