To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he has any plans to strengthen the rights of people who because of conscientious objection do not wish to take part in jury service; and if he will make a statement.

My right hon. Friends the Secretary of State and the Lord Chancellor have received a number of representations on this issue and are considering them.
