To ask the Secretary of State for Defence if he has any plans to take part in the centenary celebrations of the Soldiers' and Airmen's Scripture Readers Association.

My right hon. Friend was invited to attend the service to be held in the Guards chapel on 25 May to mark the 150th anniversary of the Soldiers' and Airmen's Scripture Readers Association but unfortunately had to decline as he will be out of the country on that day. However, a number of senior officers from the Army and RAF will attend.
