To ask the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will publish in the OfficialReport the figures upon which the discovery of two new child cancer hot-spots on the Bransholme and Greatfield estate in Hull are based.

I am aware that the East Yorkshire health authority is preparing a report on childhood cancers from 1974 to 1986. I understand initial indications are that the rates in the Bransholme and Greatfield census wards are not significantly elevated. I would refer the hon. Member to the chairman of the East Yorkshire health authority for further information.
