To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what representations he has received from defence industry representatives on the question of procurement over the last four weeks.

My right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Defence receives many letters from the defence industry during the normal execution of his duties. He meets industrialists frequently, both formally and informally, and most recently chaired a meeting of the National Defence Industries Council on 17 May.
