To ask the Secretary of State for Transport if he will make a statement on negotiations concerning trans-Atlantic flights to Manchester airport.

Negotiations on air services between the United Kingdom and the United States were held between 29 November and 1 December. The United Kingdom's objectives include agreeing a balanced expansion of opportunities for the airlines on both sides which will allow for additional transatlantic services to be introduced to serve Manchester airport.
