To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what was the staying-on rate in full-time education in each of the counties of Wales in 1987–88 and 1983–84 of those aged (a) 16 years, (b)17 years, (c) 18 years and (d) all ages.

The percentage of 16, 17 and 18-year-olds and all ages staying on in full-time education at schools, tertiary and further education colleges, and universities for the academic years 1987–88 and 1983–84 are shown in the table:
