Police Disciplinary Codes

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will set out the sections of police disciplinary codes that relate to giving misleading evidence in court.

Depending on the circumstances in which the offence takes place, such behaviour may fall within any one of a number of sections of the discipline code, including those relating to discreditable conduct (section 1), disobedience (section 3), falsehood or prevarication (section 5) or criminal conduct (section 16).
