To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what representation he has received concerning his proposals for the control of gun clubs; and if he will ensure that his proposals do not prohibit the practice of day membership for visitors or novices.

We have received a number of representations from right hon. and hon. Members, shooting organisations, individual clubs, and members of the public. We shall give careful consideration to the practice of day membership in the light of these and the advice of the firearms consultative committee.
