To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will give details of the urban investment grant paid out by his Department since its introduction; and if he will make a statement.

Since the introduction of UIG in April 1989, 10 projects have been approved with a total grant award of nearly £2·8 million. This is expected to bring forward over £10·3 million of private sector investment and to create over 600 permanent and nearly 270 temporary construction jobs.
