To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what representations he has recently received about competition in the electrical goods sector.

I have received various representations from hon. Members and others about competition issues, including representations specifically about the proposed acquisition of Dixons Group plc by Kingfisher plc which is currently under investigation by the Monopolies and Mergers Commission.
