To ask the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what proposals he has for the international convention on rain forest problems, as outlined in the Kew lecture on 6 February by the Prince of Wales.

The Government intend to pursue the proposal for an international convention on the world's forests, including tropical forests, in the context of negotiations on a climate convention and related protocols.
