Deportation Orders

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people have been served with the notice of the intention to make deportation orders against them in the past 12 months; and how many of these were of Irish origin.

During 1989, 3,196 notices of intention to deport were issued, of which four were to citizens of the Republic of Ireland.
