My final petition is on behalf of Mrs. Igmar Dobson of 11 Stanley drive, Humberstone, Leicester and 4,000 local residents. They request new legislation to make dog owners responsible for training dogs, to introduce a dog registration scheme and to ensure that there is full control of dogs in public places.

I declare an interest as the president of the Leicester and South Leicestershire branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. I feel that these measures are extremely important.
