To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment what is the proportion of the Housing Corporation's approved development programme for 1990–91 on average spent on each unit of rented accommodation; what is the equivalent figure for housing for sale; and if he will provide the same figures for the two succeeding years where planned levels of approved development programme have been identified.

Detailed information about the Housing Corporation's approved development programme for 1990–91 and provisional plans for the following two years was made available by the Housing Corporation in January 1990, and I am arranging for details to be provided to my hon. Friend direct. The Housing Corporation is currently reassessing plans for 1990–91 and subsequent years in the light of more up-to-date information on housing associations' development programmes.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many housing association projects were funded by the Housing Corporation in Liverpool in each of the last three years for which figures are available.

This is a matter for the Housing Corporation. I have therefore asked the corporation to respond to my hon. Friend direct.
