To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what recent representations he has received regarding the future of skill centres.

I have received representations from hon. Members, some skill centre staff, and trade unions.

To ask the Secretary of State for Employment what amount Astra Training Services has paid for each of the skill centres in Wales.

Terms of sale have been agreed with Astra Training Services Limited covering 46 skill centres, together with the Skills Training Agency's head office, mobile training service, sales teams and colleges, and involving a payment from the Government to Astra in respect of the entire business of some £11 million. All four skill centres located in Wales are included in the sale package.
