Hospital Closures

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales if he will list the number of hospitals closed in Wales during each of the last 10 years; and if he will make a statement.

The number of hospitals which have closed, and are still closed, is given in the table. During the same period, seven hospitals, including four district general hospitals, have opened, and the NHS in Wales is treating a record number of patients.
