To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what is the total number of Scottish registered fishing vessels currently using 110 mm nets and what was the figure for each of the past five years.

Under the North sea management arrangements announced in March, 17 Scottish-based vessels have chosen to use 110 mm nets as opposed to limiting the number of days in which they fish in the North sea. Information on the net sizes used by Scottish fishermen in past years is not readily available.
