To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland whether any assurances have been sought or given to the Government of the Irish Republic concerning bail conditions for those charged by the Stevens team.

The Irish Government have not sought any assurances concerning bail conditions for those charged in connection with the Stevens inquiry, and none has been given.

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland what consultations there have been in the inter-governmental conference under the Anglo-Irish Agreement with the Government of the Irish Republic concerning the Stevens inquiry team.

There have been no consultations with the Irish Government concerning the staff seconded to the Stevens inquiry.
