I have the honour to present a humble petition of residents of Newport, Gwent, with which I entirely agree. It sheweth

the noise and environmental difficulties experienced by local residents over the past three years as a result of British Rail operations at East Usk Sidings, Newport, Gwent.
Wherefore your Petitioners pray that your honourable House urge the Secretary of State for Transport to prevail upon British Rail to take remedial action.
And your petitioners, as in duty bound, will ever pray.

To lie upon the Table.
