To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will list all beneficial appointments and nongovernmental paid positions for which officials and former officials of his Department sought, and were granted, permission to accept since June 1979.

Since June 1979, 55 officials and former officials have sought and received such permission. It is not my Department's practice to release details of individual cases.
