To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what savings he anticipates will be made in the present financial year as a result of downgrading the post of procurator fiscal in Orkney from a full-time to a part-time appointment.

[holding answer 25 June 1990]: The present arrangements for discharging the duties of the procurator fiscal, Orkney are expected to save £25,000 in the current financial year.
