Reverse Charge Calls

To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if he will discuss with the chairman of British Telecom methods of blocking reverse charge calls from overseas so that they are not debited to the renter of private call boxes.

This is a matter for the Director General of Telecommunications to consider. My hon. Friend may wish to write to the director general with details of any problems of which he is aware that have arisen in this area.
